Hutch For The Opener

Hopefully I will be able to get out for the opener and was wondering if anyone else wanted to get together and do some hunting? We have a private piece of land that's 160 acres of CRP we can hunt. But with only two guys its pretty tuff to keep the birds from slipping out the sides. We will also be hunting some of the walk in areas. So if anyone needs any help walking some of the big fields we would be glad to help. Also we have 2 dogs a GSP and a lab that we use but we haven't decided if we are going to take the lab or not. So if anyones interested in getting together just let me know because it's always nice to meet new people and make new friends. Thanks

Might be interested, for Thanksgiving weekend,if that would work for you. There would be 3 of us,although, this is my 14 year olds 2nd time to hunt phezs.Allso, have a gsp, male, but very gentle.
What part of Kansas are you talking about? I also have so,e private land, but out by Dodge.

Well our private land is north of Hutch. But we also hunt around Cheney Lake I think it's called I will have to check the map. But where in Dodge is your private land? Also it will at least be my 16 year old and I and maybe another guy. Thanks

I have excess(sp) to 640 acres of crp south of Ensign, and 320 acres se of Dodge. My hunting group is heading out ther this weekend, and will know more about them next Monday.Due to new job,I am unable to go with them this year. Both places have very heavy thick grass in them.so with a small group it is hard to hunt them. We live inSE kansas and was hoping to find something closer to home. We can make the SE of Dodge location in 5.5 hrs,if we push it.
Let me know how you guys do this weekend, and we will try to set something up,if you want to.

thanks

Where in se are you at?

That sounds good to me. I wouldn't mind getting together with a group of guys because the last group of guys decided they liked South Dakota better so they stopped hunting in Kansas. Also the drive to Hutch for us is just under 3 hours for us. Has anyone even seen any birds this year? Also anyone know if the Little Ark River flooded this year? Thanks

I'm in pittsburg,how close areyou?
Not sure about bird conditions around Hutch, have heard in the past that there are pockets of them in that part of the state.

I live in pittsburg ks as well. I have lots of land north of great bend I hunt and several hundered acres around larnard. I will as well be going out opening weekend. We are always looking for more bodies to hunt with.

Well if anyone sees a silver or gray suburban with a jayhawk on the front and duck, goose, pheasant, quail, and another jayhawk sticker on the back feel free to say hi and good luck everyone this weekend and be safe.

PK,
make sure and let me know how you guys did,and I will get with you about Thanksgiving weekend. Have fun and be safe
