Do people still pheasant hunt Iowa with deer opening up, or is it too dangerous?
Bob, did you give up on Minnesota birds?Do people still pheasant hunt Iowa with deer opening up, or is it too dangerous?
Not at all. I'll be out in MN for sure. Haven't made a specific game plan yet. I'm just thinking about my options right now.Bob, did you give up on Minnesota birds?
Slow down speed racer, Goldenboy was going to or did do, a 3 or 4 state limit over a weekend or day??...Joel, did you ever get that pulled-off? I was willing to help get the Iowa three. Either Bob's or Joel's would be a good time....Joel's might be more of a pressure cooker, squeezed for time and quickly finding the birds if it was a same day deal.I've always got a pipe dream that I'll stumble into a pile of em and shoot like Annie Oakley, then jump the border and do the same. Odds are slim to none, but a boy can dream anyways.
Any luck? Not at all. I'll be out in MN for sure. Haven't made a specific game plan yet. I'm just thinking about my options right now.
Went Saturday with a buddy. We had a couple chances but didn't connect. Went again Sunday afternoon for two hours. Flushed 2 roosters (no hens) and did manage to bag one of them.Any luck?

We only saw one group out last weekend. We haven't seen the deer numbers we usually do.Stayed in MN. I figured iowa would be busy with deer hunters. I'm sure I'll try down there again sometime this season.
