Hunting Prairie Chickens with Labs

I was thinking about going on a Sharptails/Chicken hunt next year in SD. Anyone ever used their labs on Sharptails/Chicken.

I hunt my labs on Prairie Chickens before the pheasant season starts and have no problem, although my labs are "Pointing Labs" I bet less then 50% of the birds held, the others flushed just like pheasants. The great thing about Grouse is where they land is where they'll stay, I always have a good pare of bionics and watch where the covey lands, You can usually get a couple chances. Good luck!

have hunted prairie chickens with a flushing lab. just need to keep them closer. dont let them roam out to far such as a pointer. either pointer or flusher its a fun time. try the grass/flats lands central south dakota
