Hunting Group in MN?

Hey Everyone,
I am realitvely new to MN and am always looking to join up hunting groups who may be looking to add another member. My goal in joining this forum is to try to connect with other wing shooters and to meet some people to go hunting with. If anyone is ever looking for someone to hit the fields with let me know! I live in the S Metro but will drive anywhere for a crack at a rooster!

HI Gustav,
I do have a dog..not a very good field dog. He is a beagle and I have taken him out on a few hunts and sometimes he does good and sometimes he chases after rabbits. I usually only take him when its just me.
 
i have a britt and go out often. although this is my first year and have only gotten 1 wild bird in over 12 long days. if someone has a good spot i am always willing to go!
 
I am also just starting to check out new hunting spots in the metro area. Would be great to do with someone sometime. My dog is not great but will do his best!

Try to get away from the metro unless you have private land to hunt.
 
I'm going to try like heck to get out but my luck has not been real great.

I am heading out this wknd. Im going to check out some WMA's in the belle plaine on Saturday. There are a bunch right near eachother. If anyone is interested in joining me please let me know! Send me an email at nbodner10@gmail.com or a private message on here.
 
I would keep driving if you can pull off heading further west it will be a lot better. I normaly dirve about 2-2.5hrs west. I live down in that area and most of the WMA's and WPA's get hit hard by metro people. The bird numbers are really bad around here.

I'll second Tbear: Get further west and South. Just as much public, less trampled. Find a good one and be there by 8:30 sharp. I work weekends so I tend to get out into these WMAs and WPAs when the rest of you fellas are earning a living. :D
 
Belle plain gets hit too hard. I hunted 10 days straight and only saw a handful of birds. I also fought w w ton of people to hunt them. The second one person leaves another comes. I have even see people hunting before 9 in the morning. I have made it to a wma by 815 in the morning and had people arrive at 915 and park on the back side and act like they own it. Only birds in that area come off the game farm in the area.
 
going out this weekend haven't decided where yet but I'm leaning west, if someone wants to get together let me know. I am in Minneapolis and run a springer.

I'm looking to get out on Friday or Saturday. I'm flexible on location, just looking to get the dog out and working. PM me and let me know what you have in mind.
