I usually hunt South Dakota twice a year and hunt to the west of Yankton. About 3 years ago, I found a covey of Huns in Bon Homme county while pheasant hunting. Haven't found any more since. I have young setters and a pointer and would like to get them into some Huns as well as pheasants. What area in South Dakota would a guy have a better chance of finding a mix of Huns and pheasants? I have seen some chickens and grouse from time to time west of Yankton, but just that one bunch of Huns. I was thinking about driving from Yankton and staying somewhere else for a few days if not too far.
