Well, after coming out yesterday for my first trip to SD and killing two birds right off the bat, today was a little different. Steady 15-20 MPH winds all day, hens galore at my feet and poor shooting on the roosters that did get up left me with a big fat zero.
Serves me right, I was getting a little cocky anyways. I'll be back at it tomorrow with a greater respect for this awesome State. These birds are smart and tough!

Just gotta keep swinging & eventually you figure out how to hit their curve balls. Sometimes.
