Hello. Name is Nate, currently living in northeast Illinois just off the Wisconsin border. Planning to relocate to Pennsylvania in the next couple of months, but we'll see what happens. I have recently gotten back into upland hunting in the last 2 years, did a lot with my dad growing up in rural IA. I am a military vet, 10 years with active duty Navy and 8 years now with the Illinois Army National Guard. Upland hunting has always been my favorite, worst case scenario you get to go for a nice walk with your dog. My biggest challenge has been finding land to hunt. Hoping to hook up with some fellow upland folks that I can meet up with for a hunt. I have a great dog (10 year old black pointing lab), but unfortunately he has become fairly useless in the field. Partly because of me disappearing on military deployments too often and partly due to my wifes excessive coddling. Also, I am always on the quest to find the best gear for the stuff I do as I am pretty particular with what I use and like to find stuff that fits my needs the closest. Other interests include building on and riding my motorcycle, occassionally playing rugby and shooting clays.
