I have been told last year was better than it had been in some years for pheasant and quail. Anyone agree?

Well it was Nebraska defenitly not South Dakota. Have you noticed how few posts are on the Nebraska portion of this forum looks like just rolled 1000 congrats!!!
Kansas Has like 30000 and Sd says 14000 that because there is a lot more birds there!! There are birds in Nebraska but I have seen a lot more elsewhere.

It was a little better in 2015 but looks to be down a little again this year.

I would rate my 15 season as pretty good. Heard reports that SW area is down a little from last year. Am plan on going more central and checking out some new spots. Grouse has been outstanding in my opinion. Getting pumped for the opener

East of McCook, where I hunted, it was lousy. Did not fire a shot in 1.5 days of hunting the opener. Has not rebounded from drought and haying of CRP.
