How to keep dog in yard?

My 10mo GSP is a crafty escape artist and I'm in need of advice on how to keep her in the yard. We have a little over an acre of completely fenced in back yard, but she refuses to stay in it. She has dug under it, jumped over it, and found every possible way to weasel out of yard. I'm at the point where I'm about to strip her of her yard privilege and leave her in the kennel (I really don't want to do this). I've thought about leaving her on a 50ft rope attached to a tree, but I'd hate for the little bitch to somehow strangle/kill herself with it. Any advice is appreciated guys, I really don't want her to get hit by a car/stolen or the cops called on me for her being a nuisance.

This may sound a little cruel, but it is effective. When I was a kid, my neighbor had two springers that loved to jump the fence. He put up an electric fence(hot wire) along the top and told all the neighbors. The dogs hit it a couple times, but learned pretty quick. After awhile, he unplugged the fence but left it in place. It was basically a hot wire you would use for livestock.

Electric fence works...but has to be set low to the ground. Electricity run from the fence through the animal and back to a grounding rod connected to the charger. Set the wire low to the ground so the dog cant get under it. Far enough away he cant jump them both
But not far enough he can get stuck between them . If that makes any sense.:)

I use an under ground fence. It is really simple to install, especially if you already have an existing fence. I have a GSP, GWP and two labs that have free range of 15 acres. The labs don't even have to wear their collars anymore. They know their boundaries and will not cross or get close to the fence. There is a little maintenance that is required from time to time such as when the wire gets broken, but the controller will let you know when the loop is not complete. I was worried about the dogs confusing the fence correction and their e-collar but so far they have not. I use the Sportdog fence controller and collars.
