Home from Redfield SD.......Birds!

We just returned home from hunting near Redfield last night. The bird numbers didn't seem to be down much if any. We brought home 26 birds for the two of us so we were just 4 birds short of our limit for five days of hunting. We missed a few so there is no excuse there! Our best luck was weed patches around cut corn and fence rows near cut corn. Since we didn't have a dog this year it was doing it the old fashion way..........lots of walking. All in all a great hunt! :10sign:

While we do pay the property owner for access, it is all wild birds. No guide, no dogs unless we have one to bring. It is a working farm today. There was a small guiding service run by the property owner in the past but it is no longer in operation.

Sounds like an awesome hunt! I'm looking at hunting SD for my first time. If you don't mind me asking how much did the private access coast? and do you have any suggestions of people/places to contact about finding private land to hunt?

Hey guys I was also wondering about some private ground and cost to hunt, It would be just two of us and a couple of our shorthairs lloking for ground around thankgining. Any info would be great as this will be our first time hunting SD, thanks for your help.
