Hoisington Area....

Hey fellas. I was just wondering on the field conditions for around the hoisington area. I've got the opportunity to take out a couple of youngsters this saturday, but didn't know if it would be too muddy. It doesn't bother me, but one of the kids has never been out, and didn't want him to get frustrated and bogged down (literally) and leave a bad taste in his mouth for hunting. What are the odds things will be dried out by saturday? I know on the eastern side, it's wet, wet, wet.

It is raining out there now and they are calling for freezing rain with a chance of snow later this week. We hunted around Hill City this past weekend and the fields were okay to walk up till about 10:30am or 11:00am. After that is was slipping and sliding through 4 to 6 inches of mud. With the rains out there you can expect some muddy walking to say the least. Good luck either way!! :thumbsup:
