Hi everybody! I'm new to this site, but I'm an avid pheasant hunter! I live a bit far north in MN. to get into any local pheasant hunting, but travel south 5 or 6 times a year to hunt central and southern Mn. and also do 2 5 day trips out to SD. every year. I hunt over a pair of labs. Wouldn't dream of hunting this grand bird with out them. Love to watch them work!
Hope all have a great season where ever you may hunt!!

welcome aboard! What weeks are you headed to SD? Im changing things up this year and going in Dec, Im sick of always hitting the warm weather.

Welcome to the site! Glad to have you here. Hope you have a Great year!

Going out the first trip starting Oct. 23rd for 5 days and then probably around Nov 15th for 5 days.Hopefully the corn will be out by then. I may buy a second liscence and go back out in Dec. I've been out there in Dec. a couple of times and the hunting has been good to great. Birds should be bunched up and kind of spooky, but some always seem to hold. Love to hunt in fresh snow! It's quite a sight when a rooster or two comes busting out of the snow covered cattails on a nice bright sunny day! You will probably have most of the places to your self! Not to many hunt when it's cold. Couple of times I've been out there we got caught by blizzards and couldn't get out of our motel for a day. The hunting the day after is almost to easy if you can get around in the country. Just hit the tree rows.

PB, we all love to watch our dogs work. It is a thing of beauty with most of us. There are days I don't really care if I shoot a bird or not the dog really makes a difference for me. Welcome to UPH, keep us informed on how your trips turn out....Bob
