Help a Soldier Out?

Hey guys, I'm a retired Soldier and work on Fort Carson. Always looking to get out to the WIAs. Hit some last year with some success so if you're looking for a partner some time hit me up. Also into smacking some ducks and just came off some in the San Luis Valley.

How was it down there opening weekend? I know it was warm and a blue bird day? Did you hunt SWA? Monte Vista, alamosa?

I used to hunt down there every season, just haven't had time to head down that way this year so far. Got to get there early though, once the cold hits, things freeze up pretty quick down the San Luis Valley.

Not as much pressure as in past years. Just an enjoyable time with a few friends and dogs. We opted for Russell Lakes and were the only ones there who took some geese. I also got lucky and picked up a nice Barrow's Goldeneye.
