I from northwest CO. not prime upland country but we do have a few sharptail, blue (sorry dusky), sage grouse and chukar around.
At this time I have a 22 month old Pudelpointer that in the off season I run in NAVHDA, NSTRA, UKC and local club hunt trials (spend more time and money on this dog than I do my wife
), I am looking at adding another PP pup this year if I can find the right one!
I also travel to eastern CO, NE and KS for pheasants and UT, ID and OR for chukar. I do spend a few day a year hunting other things; like waterfowl, deer, elk, antelope, rabbits and oh yea I like to cast a fly when I get a chance.
