Hey all,

I'm from central Wisconsin and I shot my first and only rooster down in northeast Iowa last fall. So needless to say I'm new to pheasant hunting. My top priority for hunting has always been bowhunting for white-tails, but I hunt for most of everything the area has to offer, except waterfowl. Since I enjoy hunting for upland game I got myself a GSP puppy a month or so ago which will hopefully aid me in successful pheasant and grouse hunts as well as retrieve other small game. I'm hoping to learn and grab some great advice from you all, especially in dog training since my dog needs it.;)

you might check the navhda website and see where chapter locations are located in Wisconsin. most of those folks can be pretty helpful. good luck.

Welcome, once you catch bird flu there is no cure.

Welcome to UPH, Yes, those pheasants are a blast to hunt. Once the bug bites you it is very hard to shake. Come by the site often and enjoy with the rest of us........Bob

Hi all...

Just joined but have been reading the website for a while and have absolutely loved the information that flows in this website. Unlike other outdoor websites, this site seems to be able to keep on topic while still having a good time with fellow users. I live in Wisconsin, but have hunted out in SD for 06, 07, and 08. Wasn't able to make it in 09 due to getting married and won't be able to make it in 2010, but will definitely be back in 2011. Hope I will be able to pass on some information for people that are curious about Wisconsin (grouse/woodcock). I hunt an English Pointer that is an absolute joy to hunt behind. He's even a better family dog which is important for me. Thanks and I look forward to many more years of hearing some extremely valuable information that I've gotten on here.

Welcome Amos and fellow GSP lover!!!! Hope you enjoy the site and ask questions whenever you need help!!!! Everyone here is friendly and ready to help!!!!!
