Hi Everyone

I am from Central WI and I am patiently waiting to to pick up my springer pup in April. I lost my last springer last fall he was only 6 he ended up swallowing a rock and needed surgery the surgery went well but something happened while he was a the vets office after the surgery when everyone left for the day when they came in the next morning he had passed away. My family was devastated when this happened he was such an amazing dog and we miss him everyday. Now we are looking forward to new adventures with this next pup! :)

So sorry,I know the feeling. All dogs cross over the rainbow bridge, to a place of endless summers, and happy days.

Welcome aboard. I have a springer pup also and hunt up north in vilas county quite a bit. See ya around the water cooler.
Wheres your pup coming from?

I am getting the pup from pheasant acres kennels north of Green Bay. Should be a great bird dog!

Welcome aboard ZLR1980! I know the feeling of losing such a wonderful member of the family.

I had a black lab that was one of the best dogs I had. All of a sudden he started having accidents in the house when he was 6 and he couldn't jump into the cab of the pickup. I took him to the vet to get checked and they kept him overnight. The next morning I came back to the vet and they told me that he had a massive cancer tumor on his lungs about the size of a fist and another one near his heart. My children broke down pretty hard when they came home. But we dug a grave together and they put some of their belongings in there that Rekon (the lab) loved to play with. My son took it really hard as Rekon was his first dog and they won the Amateur Flushing Dog of the Year trophy with NATHA.

Seems like no dog can replace a previous dog, but the adventures are always something to look forward to. We now have two other labs and the kids love them just as much!

Anyways, sorry for the ramble --- welcome to the site, you will learn a great deal here!
