My name Aaron. I'm from the west metro. I do most of my hunting on public land out in the Appleton - Ortonville area.

Welcome Aaron. I too live in the subs just north of the metro. I have hunted out there some have a little private land that has been awesome in the past. What do you run for a dog or dogs? Happy hunting!

Thank you. I'm running a 1 1/2 year old chocolate lab. He did really good on his first year, I just need to work on quartering a little more with him.

There's a great Preserve at Watertown that you might consider. I walked my dog last year (without a gun) and had a grand time flushing birds and keeping him close. You can scratch hunt during the week for $20.

Wings of Watertown...they have a web site you can review. Location: Hwy. 21 and 20, north of Hwy 7, 2-3 miles.

If you wish to scratch hunt, you need to register before the hunt. I had permission to walk my dog - fall of 2011 when he was a puppy. You would need to ask about this privilege...
