Hello from California

Welcome to UPH, Please tell us a little more bout you. Your dogs, favorite gun and the sort of stuff. We would just like to get to know you better.......Bob

hi Again......

well here is a little back ground on me, I grew up with a dad that was raised on a farm in northern baja california and a dad that wasn't scared to show his son (me) now growing up in a big city what it was like to live and grow up on a farm money was tight he owned a winchester model 12 in 20ga. so me as a kid would just follow him around while he did all the shooting and we did this in the farm lands of northern mexico which I here is compareable to the mid-west as to the quality of wild roosters, so when i hit my teen years i fell into the trap of big city life sports, girls, beach activities whatever but lost the love for chasing birds, now i'm going to college fixing to get married lol ok the college went good marriage not so good as i'm a divorced parent of two wonderful boys that now that i have re-found my love for chacing roosters follow me around pick up my birds and even carry my birds at ages 7 and 11 soon they will be shooting 20ga. as they do alot of .22 target shooting now and i believe are disaplined enough around guns as for me i'm a young 38 Airworthiness inspector for Gulfstream Jets, my dog is a 2.5 English Pointer "JAY" that came out of Outback Kennels in Kansas from a great guy Kirby and my shotguns are all 12ga. Weatherby pump,semi,O/U they are all good to me. I have made my reservation for Aberdeen SD 10/17-10/21/2011 see you guys there oh yeah 1 last thing that Winchester model 12 that my dad used to shoot when i was a kid is now in my safe in mint condition :D

Welcome victor. I assume your in socal? I am from the central valley (just north of fresno). How is the hunting down there? I have heard good things about the imperial valley. How is the quail and chukar hunting in mojave? Anyways nice to meet you its nice to have more Californians here!

hello quailhound,

you got it right so. cal in Long Beach, Well I tried Imperial Valley last year got 1 rooster just to many people and not enough land Mojave is good I got into alot of quail near the ca. aquaduct last Dec. in Antelope Vally also I'm a member at the Antelope Valley Sportsman club and Dave the owner is a great guy, They plant pheasant anf chuckar but its great for california the good hunting is in Northern baja but with all the bad things going on in Mexico and gun laws there kind of scary to go there, and yes good to see good california people.
