Trigger finger way too itchy to wait for the Nov. 14 KS opener so heading to Nebraska to hunt their opener Oct. 31.

Where are you headed in Nebraska? I live there but am going to Iowa to hunt with my long time hunting buddy. We've been hunting over there since 1986. Never missed a year except for when my GSP died and I didn't have a dog.

I was feelin the same way BritChaser, but a mixture of fuel cost, out of state license, and my fiance telling me i couldnt changed my mind! Hope you get some rooster shootin in while we're here on our blue rock for another 2 weeks! lol

You'll need to work on that fiance of yours. Maybe you can develop her in to a hunter.

I was out there earlier this year, we had lots of rain and the cover should be good. The cover around the lake has been good in the past but I haven't hunted there for a few years
I'm hoping they get the corn out of the field. It quit raining here yesterday and it's sunny today so maybe they can get back into the field

Good luck

me and my trusty brittany plan on comming over from central iowa. i saw on my local news that neb.and iowa dnr has agreed to allow neb/iowa bird hunters to hunt in each state without purchasing an out of state permit. i know neb. bird numbers are good i would like some info on where to hunt some quail on public land.

This is the second time that I heard that about Nebraska and Iowa allowing hunters to hunt in the other state without a license but I have not been able confirm that. Has anyone else heard that or seen it in writing?

I did a google search on 'Nebraska and Iowa hunting reciprocy' and it seems the only places that you can hunt are right on the river.

Yeah BritChaser I will have to work on it, I'm plannin on takin her out this year a few times! And no you read it right UplandHntr it was a matter of comprimising we just bought a new 42" TV, so i guess its not a total loss lol I'll just have to wait it out for the 14th for our opener here in Ks
