They are pulling beans out in my neighborhood and the guy who farms in my backyard is actually going to pull some corn out before the beans. Could be one of the earliest harvests ever. No rain in sight.
 
That would be good news for hunting in SD. Here in NC Wisconsin the corn went in late due to a wet spring. Not yet mature, we had frost, which will adversely affect yields and hurt many farmers. Back to more rain as it rained from Sunday morning into Tuesday afternoon. I've been seeing few grouse the first two weeks of the season. With the leaves coming down I'm hoping hunting will pick up a bit. My 6 month old setter, Max, is starting to figure out that he isn't just there to romp about and chew at things. With each contact with bird scent I can see something awakening in him. I leave 3 weeks from today for SD and hope it awakens soon!
