Happy Birthday, John Moses Browning. It is easily argued that he was the greatest gun designer the world has ever known. His contributions to sporting firearms and the cause of freedom are incalculable. He was born this day 158 years ago.
 
so for instance, the a5 shot gun.it seems like an odd thing to dream up from scratch, with the barrel sliding back and all.it is of course ingenious when you see it and looks simple but thats after he dreamed it up.i read some where he carved alot of those designs out of wood first (whittled them).he must have been whittling on ideas constantly.

He's one of the greats within the gun industry/gun history no doubt.:cheers: I can say my A-5 is my all time favorite gun.:thumbsup:
