Gun refresher?

This summer I spent training my vizsla. Got him introduced to birds, gunfire, is holding point forever, and will retrieve. I am taking him out to a preserve this weekend and want to know how you guys advise refreshing him to gunfire. He hasn't shown any problems with the gun or anything but I just want to make sure he never does have any problems.
thanks

Tell us a bit more regards the "gunfire" part...what was the process?

My trainer used a 22 and 410 for over a week; pigeons were used for the fun games and the dog was always on a lead.

Perhaps you could use a buddy to do the shooting, at a distance away from a dog on point...

First we went out with a .22 blank, then 20 gauge and then 12 gauge. I've shot pigeons over him I just haven't shot with him around in about a month and am wondering if I should build up to it still or is he good if that makes sense. Like have him fetch and shoot from 30 yards away and move in.

If you have shot pigeons over him with a 12 ga. and didn't experience any problems you should be good to go. A month without shooting around him won't make any difference.
