I hope everyone had great success today. Please post pictures.

My 12 year old lab suffered through cancer this past year. We had to amputate part of his paw. His desire to hunt is not there so he is officially retired. We thought we had a started dog lined up, but unfortunately it did not work out (found out yesterday). My family is looking again. Please let me know if you have any suggestions. We would like a lab/GSP, started or semi-started would be great. We have 2 boys (8/10) and 2 senior dogs. Shoot me a private message if you have thoughts or advice. Our family is pretty broken up after the other pup did not work out.

Quick clarification: We prefer a 50/60 lb size dog.

Thank you for the contact. I will reach out to Fred today. Are you hunting your 11m old this season? Is your pup a great family dog?

Yea, I have had her out a half a dozen times or so. I am really waiting for the late season. I take time off come the middle of December and hunt right up to the end.

She is a typical puppy. Really excited all the time but compared to my last lap she is a way better athlete than my 90 lb lab I use to have. She loves pheasant hunting for sure.

Good luck this season. I appreciate the guidance and will call today. Heading to Kansas this Thursday. First time in 5 years I will not hunt over my own dog. Takes a bit of the excitement out of trip. It is what it is. My buddy hit Kansas yesterday....8 guys all limited out.
