Was able to sneak out to our 'honey hole' in Routt on Monday. One spot had no birds - which is rare. Our other spot held a few, but harder work than normal. 1 family group was up close to 10K feet already and the grass is taller than I've ever seen it. They may be getting higher already.
No elk guys (including myself) at another spot in Grand Cty have even seen a grouse yet over there.
