Great Opening Day

I've been so busy I didn't realize it was the opener this weekend. We went out this morning and got our limit. Oh this was just the youth opener before you start calling the DNR on me. The youngster got his one bird in about 5 minutes. We did some extra walking to get Roo some exercise but never saw another bird.
 
He is 15 and has a Rem 870 12 ga. He's hunted with me for the past 4 yrs and has become a good hunter. He got me to start deer hunting which I now enjoy.
 
You scared the heck outta me PA. I thought I had totally screwed up and missed by a week! I've been living/working out of state and thought I'd missed my big dance. Good going on your kid. Hope it's not the last one.
 
It seems like the opener sneaks up the more busy we get. I wanted to take a couple days off to get ready but thats not going to happen. Once the season starts my main priority is hunting. Hope there's some birds in north central.
