Was happy to get out to the JBLM WA pheasant release program again today for the disabled veteran population. Crisp 28° when I parked. I don’t have a dog but have success in other generous hunters asking me to come along with them and hunt over their dog. It’s so nice of them to offer. It’s good for them because they can get their limit and also keep their dog working for my limit instead of going right back to the truck. Today Bill and Ruby brought me and my buddy John along with them. Lots of shots taken and some harvest too! Someday soon hopefully, I’ll find me my own dog to hunt with me so I can extend the same generosity I’ve experienced in the field.
