Got a favorite place to stay SW KS?

Anyone have a favorite place to stay out sw area? Where I'm from, there's great trout fishing and several little hotels with kitchenette's that cater to the sportsman, but would be really hard to find on the internet. Any suggestions for something aside from standard hotel? Going out later this season for a few days and needing some lodging advice. Thanks!
 
I'm at the El Rancho Motel in Elkhart. They allow dogs and sell beer at the resteraunt, so not too bad. $65

The owner, who is a trucker who hauls grain during the week, even gave us some spots to hit where he has seen a lot of birds.
