Gorilla Glue and other fatal substances for dogs

A family member's young bulldog recently had to be put down after swallowing a small about of gorilla glue.

The story with the gorilla glue is very sad and I never would have thought it would be so dangerous. I don't want anyone else to go though it with their pets or children.

The thing with gorilla glue is that once it is added to water it expands, signicantly! A dime size amount is enough to fill a dog or small childs stomach completely. My aunts dog ate enough to have her stomach completely filled and part of her intestine. They had to have her put down. Be careful with anything your pets eat.

Reminder: We all know that anti-freeze is toxic to all animals when ingested. here are the symptons I read earlier today on PetMD.

Thanks for posting.

I had a friend who found his dogs tennis ball in a pan of anti-freeze he just drained from his jeep. There just was no time. It kills that fast.

Watch out for slug bait. The dogs (labs anyways) seem very attracted to it, and it's absolutely LETHAL.

Others that are less lethal but many folks don't know about are onions and raisins - both toxic to dogs.

Raisins and onions can be lethal, also.
