goose hunting

Was out goose hunting. Thought it would be fun but not so much. The whole time I was out I was thinking wish I was bird hunting.

The enjoyment in waterfowl hunting for me was in the fooling of the birds. Calling them in or calling them back to the decoys multiple times and getting them to commit. However in my older age I do not mind as much now in the pass shooting game without the use of decoys or calls. Just harder to sit and freeze my tail off anymore..

O man......nothing like honker hunting.

Birds are stacking up around here, can't wait till Thursday.

I always say...the day I don't get the rush watching geese coming feet down and in my face is the day I hang up the decs and move on.

I'm thinking there should be some good goose hunting for most of this week. Between the snow and this cold front they'll be hungry:thumbsup:.
