Hi, Just a little tribal knowledge for you folks traveling along I-90 in West River area for those on a budget: If you are tired of the prison food that most (make that all) of the restaurants in the Presho/Vivian/Murdo area serve, try the BUSTED NUT bar and grill at the Draper exit (13 mi w of Vivian) just N of the interstate in the crappy looking old truck stop which is no longer open. The locals come from miles around for their HOMEMADE yummies. Huge servings and friendly staff. The waitress has a smile to warm your heart. They take pride in the meal they set in front of you. Lunch/dinner only.
If you need lodging: The Iversen INN in Murdo is for you! $35/night, dog friendly, clean and quiet. Bar across street,not fancy just a clean place to sleep and Dan Iversen will make it clear that your biz is very much appreciated! Don't stay at the Buffalo or Super 8 in Winner! If you do,wipe your feet on the way out!
