Golden pheasant

I'm watching this show called The Woodsmen and this guy goes to check his,bird traps and he finds a golden pheasant In one. I think he's in northern Idaho or Washington in the woods so its the right type of habitat and the guy didnt seem surprised. Do you guys think it was rigged or are there some wild goldens around? Seems like they could've found a more common bird to do it with if it were rigged.

Contrived or a bird from a nearby bird hunting ranch that wandered off.

You're probably right but they're in a pretty remote area with the right type of habitat for wild goldens.

Its on the History channel I believe. Its just about guys who live in the woods.
