A little more than 2 months out for the early chicken season. I'm getting anxious. Don't know how it's gonna be but I do know one thing. I will be watching pointers running big across the flint hills!
I can't wait for some cool temps and the box loaded in the back of the truck! Got a few more things to do around the place to prep for hunting season and am looking so forward to doing them. A couple of outdoor outlets near the kennel, 3 hound heaters, and a nice wind block idea I have for the dog houses. They should be even more spoiled than they are already.
This summer I built tables for each one so that they can get on them to lay or just stand and watch the world go by. I also put fans out there to circulate air which really makes it nice and cool under the over hang and also really keeps the flies and other bugs away. Of course two of them just have to have 40 gallon stock tanks in their kennels so they can jump from the table into the water and back up to the table. It's pretty entertaining to watch them do that. They are some complete clowns.
