Has anyone used the Garmin hunt view maps? Dumb question. What I am really looking for is some info. Garmin does a piss poor job describing this. Are the sat views pretty good? And is the entire state in satellite view or is it just public land. I would be using the Kansas map and wondering if the satellite views where good enough to be able to read a field and know what is around it.
 
We just got back from KS and used the DNR's App downloaded on my iPhone. It is Explorer for ArcGIS. I really does a nice job and provides Satalitte photo and instant location. Of course, all of the WIHA are marked. and its free!
 
rusty, if its not too late, i would look at OnX maps, with your subscription (i thinks it $28 or $29 a year) you have access to the webviewer and any edits on there goes to your phone app too. you can also download maps prior to leaving cell phone service so you dont have to rely on cell coverage. the aerials are great too
