Garmin Alpha 300 Lanyard

Does the watch have the same problem as the handheld, where they put "<Dog's name> is on point" over the information showing how far away the dog is for about 5 seconds? I have a watch, but haven't taken it out of the box yet.

I don't have a pointer so I turned all "notifications" like that off. I have simply showing dog's name, direction and distance.
