Well I havnt been out to much this season. We were in a wild bird pheasant hunting derby!!!! Which is a kick in the arse. Its a fund raiser for a local golf course. Funnest thing I have done!!!! Hunted all the planted bird things for a long time. It doesnt even compare to this deal. But anyways we won the tournament!!! I had no idea with dry ground we would see so many birds. Our shooting was mmmmm not superb needed to be. Anyways. there is still gobs of birds. If Hightail or Some Beach poke around I now own a 9 month old setter that is an animal!!!!! Cant wait to hunt him some more. Bought him at the banquet last night.....
 
Nobody is as computer illiterate as me!!!!!! Let's see that dog!!!!!! I still refuse to text!!! Everyone texts me and asks why I do not reply!!! My answer: Real Rednecks don't text!!!!! Easier to pick up the phone and dial I guess!!!! :cheers:

Pheasant hunting derby sounds like fun! What were the rules? Who ever gets the most wins?
 
Snipet; follows all of our state laws five man team one box of shells. First team to fifteen wins. If u dont get that many it progresses down. Next factor is if there is a tie. it boils down to shells left birds bagged and time. Hunt starts at 10 am and ends at 3. which those times make it challenging to say the least much less the shell count. The hunt is all non for profit for a local golf course. I dont golf cuz I cant hit the ball. I end up farming the course with a club. All is good. We bagged 14 birds shot like poo was sure we wouldnt win. But turned out good and had a great time with some buddies!!!!!! Guess I left a tick out its alot like tournament hunting but in a way better environment and its for a cause its not like a track meet in the field on a preserve!!!!! Lots of factors to think about. Im blown away with this hunt!!!!!

I was hunting a few days before the event. I couldn't get on any grounds due to the derby. I stayed away this weekend and rode the horses. Welcome to the Shag-Running Team. :cheers:

I'm done up there! Too many people for the WIA. I'm on the quail down south. :D
