Hi There,
I moved to Illinois a couple years ago for work after I graduated from college. I hunted behind Vizsla's growing up and they were all great, but I absolutely fell in love with the way my Grandfathers most recent dog worked, so I told him that when she was ready to have pups that is where I wanted to get my first Vizsla. Long story short, I picked him up last July and had an amazing first season with him. I hunted him along side his sisters and mother back in Iowa last year and he did amazing, he pointed the majority of the birds we shot, and with his endurance and speed, he was the first to nearly every downed bird. I love to get him out and work him, fortunately we have land in Iowa to do this on, but unfortunately we don't go back as often as I'd like to work him. Not being from Illinois, it is hard to find any land to hunt or even find anyone who does hunt in my neck of the woods with all this crop ground and mowed ditches. I found this site in my search and hope that I can contribute to any new or potential Vizsla owners. I look forward to hearing about success stories others have had in my area, and also to learn more about pheasant hunting. I've lived a pretty sheltered life so far only hunting behind Vizsla's and been spoiled with good ground to hunt in Iowa as I grew up.
