Fresh Meat on the Grill...

Here are some pics of the damage to my 03 Suburban caused by t-boning a deer at 65 MPH on Kansas 156 about 14 miles west of Jetmore. This happened last Tuesday evening while we were travelling to Garden City.

Needless to say I will be installing a strong grill guard once I get it back.

Truck currently is in Hugoton being repaired.

Even with this inconvenience this years trip was a success.

Your post is entertaining! I got a good laugh out of it. I expected to hear something about some bacon wrapped roosters for last night's dinner. Yes, a grill gaurd is a good idea! I came very close to hitting a deer Saturday morning. I shouldn't have stopped;) It would've provided enough meat to cover the purchase of the grill guard:rolleyes:

Not what I was expecting either but I'm glad that everyone was okay! The grill guard is a great idea as I'm thinking about getting one myself. Good luck with everything...

Why would I care about how the deer feels!???!

I really could care less about it. It was in the wrong place at the same time I was.

Are you trying to make some point here?

I too had a run in with a young doe on Sat night about 1 hr after dark. Strange though, I was on a dirt road going about 50 and the deer ran straight into the side of the truck just below the door handle. I never saw it. Scared the crap out of me! It must have been running hard. Took out two doors (crew cab) and the rear quarter panel.

I reported it to the county sheriff and got a carcass tag. Some friends that live in the area said they had hit deer with both of their vehicles in the last 4 months.
