French partridge - (red-legged partridge)

Does anyone know if it is possible to colony breed French partridge or do you stricly have to keep them in pairs for breeding?

On the internet I've found so much contradicting information so I would like to hear some first hand experiences. Thank you.

Can't answer your question but since I was not familiar with the French Partridge I looked it up. It's actually called the French Red-Legged Partridge and appears to look an awfully lot like a Chukar. Here's an interesting article about raising them.

I have read that article in the past too, by the sound of it it seems like this kind of partridge is a dream gamebird. Shame that I can't find any info about captive breeding anywhere.
