Overdue follow up.
Midge is doing fine. She has been to SD for a preserve hunt , where she made several nice points and retrieves. Yesterday we opened season here at home with quail. We only hunted a short time about 2 hours due to wind and warm temps. Busted 2 coveys maybe 40 birds in all. Quail were pretty wild I suppose due to the weather. We bagged 4 with Midge making a nice point and backing another dog on a single. Should be a great season for us and the dogs for quail,1000 acres and lots of surrogated birds from the last 2 years!
