Fox Terrier to flush birds?

I have a 15 pound Fox Terrier who isnt a traditional bird dog but very smart and loves to scent and smell game. He loves to be outside and his instincts to flush out squirrels, rabbits etc is true. I am curious if I can make him a bird dog or if anyone else has heard about terriers as pheasant dogs.

I just took a quick look for a few videos I’ve watched with a fox terrier flushing pheasants. No luck. Check out YouTube I know there's some on there.

My dad had one when he was a kid and used him to pheasant hunt. He said the dog was great. High school friends were always asking my dad to tag along on pheasant hunts with his terrier because he could nail the birds.

I guess if the dog has the drive hunt him. :)--1pheas4

Also, terriers (though really isn't the case anymore) were bred for hunting.
