Brings back a good memory....three years ago we were hunting on public ground in Iowa....I lost my Brittany's
e collar toward the end of the hunt. This was in December.
The following June I got a call from the Iowa DNR. Seems they were going to do a control burn on the area we hunted. He said that when he was about to light the fire, he saw a collar...Since I had my name and phone number on it, they called and then sent it to me....so I had a happy reunion with my dog's collar (I had bought a new one after I lost it, so now I have two)
There are happy endings.
