Found another Gem!

Last weekend we went exploring an area we have always wanted to take a look at and we were not disappointed. To be honest we weren't expecting much but we left very happy. What makes it cool is it's a very unique place and I will just leave it at that!

Here is some pictures!

Now the important one's

It's a gem alright, we had heard rumors about this area and well they are no longer rumors! It's a VERY special area and I can't wait to get back.

I guess there's no off season for you guys! :D I can tell by the ground cover that the area will explode into cover this spring and summer. We have a similar type area that we are sure has birds. These type of threads is why Ultimate has become the only site I bother with now. Way to go!

HW,

Not looking for an exact location, I know how hard these areas are to find and you guys put in a lot of effort to find these wild birds, but is this location in the North East part of the state? Thanks.

You were right, the cover is OUTSTANDING and there are plenty of dust bowls and signs of birds! It's going to be a long few months. :(

Some good news and some not so much. I've been back to this spot a few times and as recently as last weekend and it has FANTASTIC habitat and we all know what goes along with that. The down side is Dugan has a very bad sprain and the season is only a few weeks away, go figure. Still looking forward to the season though!

Thanks Brian, we were gradually increasing the training and he came up lame. Usually no big deal but this time he wasn't getting better. The X-Rays to the Carpus were negative....so it's a mystery.

The habitat at this location is outstanding with warm and cool season grass mixes chest high, there are literally hundreds of acres of this.

Thanks Mike, I won't push him, he's more than earned his keep !
