went up saturday towards snow mtn wilderness to get a xmas tree and drove thru the burned area looked like a nuke went off burned all the brush to ashes. good news is i seen severeal coveys of quail crossing the road already back in the burn area!

Fires can do good things for quail if they aren't to intense and destroy top soil. In a few years new early successional growth will be back and with good weather quail populations will explode in the area.
