First off my pointer is rock solid on pigeons. No flagging and dang near steady to wing and shot. This past weekend I noticed that he had a tendency to flag on quail. Friday and Saturday the wind was very light if any. Sunday he located a covey and flagged the entire time. The wind on Sunday was 20-45 mph.

Should I be worried about this or is this a confidence issue? He is just over a year old and this is his first hunting season.
 
My suggestion at this point in his development is to just let him hunt find birds and build confidence.
