Have any of you IOWA guys fished red rock lake ???

Haven't fished it. What type of fish you looking for? Lot of the rivers are producing good walleye fishing right now, just need the weather to settle down. I don't know much about the east half of the state.

Looking for a new Crappie spot getting tired of the state of Missouri and thier catch limits. I was also looking at Lake Rathbun
 
Double duty--hunting turkey's on the Missouri River while pulling plugs this weekend. Last year we caught 4 walleyes to eat rather quickly, but only located 2 turkey's before the blizzard came up! We are supposed to have two nice days ,Fri and SAT. before the possibility of rain so things look a little better. Smallies white bass also possible.

The fisherman who fished out of Snake Creek area caught fish in the AM deadsticking minnows in the 30 ft area. The water was only 43 degees due to snowmelt and a cold spring. I did not bring live bait and we were up in the bays looking for turkeys, throwing Shad Raps and grubs with no success tho it was two to 4 degrees warmer in spots. Sat. was very windy and we ,like most others stayed ashore. Got one Turkey, two guys. Still had a great time and now I can go again!
