Fish oil

I have a dog that fights dry skin and have to feed a high fat fish based diet to keep her happy. I usually take her off if it spring through fall and let her itch. So I was looking at salmon oil to maybe help her out a little bit. Will it go rancid? It recommends a teaspoon a day. At 6 teaspoons an ounce I’d have over a years worth. How about ants? One time I greased my boots and it attracted so many ants that I thought that they were going to carry them off! This is what I was looking at.

Whisky gets two pumps of that same oil on his kibble for dinner. I keep it in the fridge. He likes it and I have not noticed any issues.

I use the 1000 mg capsules from Costco. Just one with their food at night. I also supplement with salmon scraps a couple times a week. The oil is probably all they need but as a special treat fish is appreciated.
