First solo limit of 09

I made it out to the field last night with only 1 hour to hunt befor dark and had my 2 birds with 30 min. to spare, thanks to good dog work.

Nice! Looks muddy indeed. Getting tired of all this rain, snow and cool temps. Good looking set of labs. I also have 2 of them. A big yellow male and a black female. Cann't imagine hunting with out them.

There was alot of mud, went out on friday and got 2 more seen at least 30 birds for a down year with all the crops in it is starting off ok. Leave for Sodak on Wednesday can't wait!!!!

I'm seeing the same thing in southern MN. Went out on opener and got a solo limit on some public land.

Hit some private land yesterday (got limit) and saw 6+ roosters and 10+ hens. Not bad for all the crops still in. I think we will still have a good year even with numbers down.
