My Brit, who just turned one, made her first retrieve. I knocked down a quail. Per usual, she went to the down bird immediately. But she picked it up and dropped it in place twice. After calling "fetch" a few times, I just started walking away and that did the trick. She brought it to me. Next goal: a pheasant retrieve.
