Well we ran our first field trial a week or so ago. A lot of really nice and helpful people. We ran the amateur puppy and just sucked. We ended up with a bye so no bracemate and it the pups first experience with horses so he was kind of not himself. In the afternoon we ran the open derby and he was back to normal. We had 2 finds, an honor and was steady on it all. We ended up with a 4th place out of 18 dogs in what the judge described as one of the best group of derby dogs. Not bad for a rookie and a 8 month old puppy.
