Finally got back on here don't ever loose your password.lol. Oh well hope everyone had a good day. We are a little rusty well I am but still had a short day the best part was walking out and a boy shot his first cock bird and he looked for it and looked for it but couldn't find it so we walked over and put Drake on it and he found it in no time just seeing the smile on that kids face was worth the hole day.

Thanks for the picture and video. How would you compare the numbers to previous years as far as hunters go? I drove on two roads at one gameland in Adams County and counted 62 cars with about 1/3 being out of state. I don't hunt gamelands on the first Saturday so I don't know how it compares.

I hunted at the local club with a friend and we got our limit in less than an hour. The dogs had a few points on the way out and we put up about 10 roosters and 4 hens. It was a beautiful day to be out.

I would say for some reason a lot less where we always go and a lot more at the places we drove past. I will say these were the smallest birds I've ever seen stocked.

We decided to take the four hour ride to one of our Gems. It's a Ducks Unlimited Wetland Restoration Area nestled in between some very fertile farmland. We knew we were in trouble as soon as we arrived, all the crops were up and the marsh is almost impossible until it freezes up. Short story..no birds today, but we did see plenty of sign and the farmer confirmed this, maybe next time!
One of the pluses was that Chipper handled well!

We were one of the out states in Adams county. I thought the pheasant stamp was supposed to mean less hunters? More then I have seen in previous years. Put up 3, knocked down 1 for the start of Rusty’s 11 year old campaign (the two we missed ended up quickly being shot by other groups of hunters).

It was warm today. Good job on your hunt. I went out for about 45 minutes this evening and got one bird off a point from Champ. I'll be back out Wednesday for the day. I expect cooler weather by then.
